So sorry for my few followers that I never write a blog but life is crazy and I just don't think about it! In the past year my little Al has gained such a wonderful little personality. He is just the cutest little ham you have ever seen. He stays in "trouble" at school. I use the term trouble lightly because he not really any trouble he is just 3.
My sister Jennifer gave birth to a beautiful 5lb baby girl this December, Nora Shaw. I just could not get enough of her at Christmas!
Right now I am currently finishing up my last week of my first long term sub job. My friend has been out on maternity leave and I have had the honor of taking over her Pre-cal and Algebra 2 classes for the last 6 weeks. It has been a really amazing learning experience to help prepare me for my own classroom. Next week I am due to start teaching Chemistry and Physical Science for a teacher who left back in November. The hardest part with this class will be getting them back on task from not having a teacher for an extended period of time. I am grateful to have had a sub this past few weeks who has taken her time to help get them back under control and ready to learn again. She has been a big help to me.
I hope the rest of the school year goes well for all and look forward to gearing up for more interviews this summer.

The last month or so...
We have had a few adventures in the past month. We went on our first trip to the Birmingham Zoo. Then Al and Bill went on their first father-son camping trip! Then we had our first hospital visit :( For a really sick child he sure does look happy in his pictures but he really was just plain pitiful. Then of course we have a visit from the Easter Bunny! Hot Wheels and Gummy Worms!

Sunday, March 6, 2011
Ok, so I have to admit that I am really bad about updating my blog. Well, Al will be 6 months old on Monday March 7th. Al has been rolling over from his back to his belly and is beginning to prop himself up on all fours. Al is an all around happy baby.
Al has decided to become a little destructive, already! The other day he was in his jumper and had a butterfly teether in his hand. He was having a blast swinging that teether back and forth hitting things. He would swing it back and forth and then he would just start busting out laughing. Then he would do it again! It was hilarious. We tried to get a video but his back was to us and when we walked around to the side he was facing he stopped.
My spring break from work is March 13th-20th and we are headed to the beach for a week. Our friends Scott and Alex, and their 4 month old son, Dylan, are joinging us for part of the week. We are renting a house at Carillon beach, just outside Panama City and Bill's cousin is getting married on the 21st. This will be Al's second trip to the beach and Dylan's first road trip so we are really excited.
Other than that there is not much going on around here!

Over the Last Few Months
Ok, so a dear friend has been begging me to update the blog so here goes. I am going to start with Halloween since it is a BIG holiday in Bill's family!
As usual we spent Halloween in Birmingham and as usual there were a lot of trick-or-treaters! Al was dressed as a Monkey and let me just say, that was the cutest monkey ever! He did not last long in his costume because he is the most hot natured baby ever!
Thanksgiving was really big this year too! My family all went to Destin for the week. My dad’s brother has a beach house there and my parents rented a two story house next door to my Uncle’s. At our house there were twelve people and four next door. Since my Uncle and his family are all Alabama fans we had a house divided for the Iron Bowl! War Eagle!!! We took some time to walk over to the beach and took some awesome family photos.

Al’s first Christmas was spent in Birmingham with Bill’s family. I think between the Christmas’ with my family and Bill’s we had a total of six Christmas’ in one week. It was wonderful but exhausting. Al got lots of fun things for Christmas! He had just started sitting up so he loved his big activity center from Kaky and Papa T (Bill’s parents) and his walker from Nana and Doc (my parents)!
The New Year was great. My mom was so nice and babysat Al so Bill and I could enjoy ringing in the New Year with Jenn and Eron. Michael Meall was in town and we got to spend some good quality time with him before he drove back to Maryland! Happy 2011.
On the last big note Al turned four months old this Friday! We are supposed to be going to the Doctor for our check up on Tuesday, weather permitting since our road is probably going to be covered in Ice for the next three days!
